I am grateful I was able to go to and graduate from university.

Though in this day and age, I think the price is outrageous and there are so many other options, I am glad and grateful I did go and have the experience at the time. I’m even grateful I studied what I did (Political Science and International Relations with Spanish and Business minors) even though I do not work in the field. It gave me a well rounded world perspective and was deeply interesting to me at the time, and still is. It gave me the opportunity to study abroad which without a doubt changed the trajectory of my life. I also met lifelong friends who continue to teach me so much. I don’t know if the ROI is there overall now, but I’m grateful I was able to do it (especially after that guidance counselor told me I wouldn’t get in anywhere and I cried for days about it).
