Confused about this post? Start with the intro - HERE

I am grateful for my students and clients.

If you’re reading this, chances are that you are one of the above or have been at one time. I never expected to become a teacher of any sort. As a shy, introverted, book-ish person, being in front of people and talking was not even close to on my mind when I was growing up and in the earlier years of my working life. Yes, for a long time I wanted to be a lawyer and was on that track, but I never thought I’d be a trial lawyer in front of people. I thought I would be in a room surrounded by books doing analysis and research on international law. See, introverted. However, my life has taken me in a completely different direction. Even when I took my first Yoga Teacher Training, I didn’t think I was going to teach. I was mostly doing it for self development and my love of movement practices and knowledge. And well, here we are thirteen years later. This is a long way of saying, though this journey to teaching has been unexpected, I am grateful for it and the students and clients that have crossed my path and the that will in the future.

Teaching has always been challenging for me and it still is. I am not someone who just settled into it and went off on my merry way to gloriously clear speech and filled classes. It is a learning experience for me every time I step on the mat or cue up my zoom. I am grateful to those of you who have been on the journey with me all these years and to those who are joining me now, both in a client/one on one capacity and in group classes. Without students and clients I cannot be a teacher, and I now believe that being a teacher and guide is one of my life paths. So thank you for showing up. Thank you for practicing. Thank you for experimenting with me. Thank you for your openness and curiosity. Thank you for the work you do in the world. Thank you for coming to classes, workshops, courses, and private sessions. Thank you for helping me do my work in the world. I am so grateful for you.
